Biography:
I began writing at the age of 6 years old. Back then, it was just words and meaningless sentences. Still, it took me 13 – 14 years to help me be a better writer and a much more dedicated person to my work. However, I am still looking for ways to expand my experience and further develop my skills.
I began writing at a very young age. I studied abroad, learned English and I now speak English fluently. I was the Managing Editor in my Elementary school, became a staff writer in my early years in High School and eventually, worked as the Editor-in-chief in my High School department. I was the youngest to take a poetry workshop at U.P Diliman, at the age of 15. I’ve taken numerous seminars and workshops to expand my knowledge and experience.
I am now in College, and despite mistakenly choosing the wrong career path in my first years, I am hoping to correct my mistakes and get back to what I love most: writing and the arts.
My first years in College taught me how important writing was to me. I took up Accountancy due to the influence of my parents and because it is a rather far from writing, I never had the chance to take up the pen and write, causing me to become wary of where I am and question if I really belonged there. It took me quite some time to realize that I had made a mistake. Still, I do not regret my experience in Accountancy. I made a mistake and I want to correct it.
During the time of my wariness and regret in choosing the wrong course, I began to take up the pen and start writing again. I have been writing again, this time for paid work since December of 2008 and I am enjoying it. I am now looking for ways to stretch my limitations, develop my skills and take up new challenges. Aside from planning to take up theater courses and creative writing workshops in the future, I also plan to study Korean, French and Spanish as additional languages for the better of my career.
Although it may sound like a busy summer and schedule, I still plan to be able to write and work for my own tuition and expenses.
My experience in freelance writing has taught me quite a lot of things. I’ve had experience in data entry, multimedia functions, photo shop, article submission, basic SEO, basic HTML and basic link building. I’ve worked for many employers and I’ve learned well to understand deadlines, avoid plagiarism and to be honest about work at all times.
I’m a simple person, I like to say what I want and I mean what I say. I complain a lot but sometimes, it’s just for the fun of it – other times just to see the reactions of the people around me. I like my life, I enjoy it and I love meeting new people and being with people of different backgrounds. I love experiencing new cultures, new traditions. I enjoy traveling because I get to meet new people, see new stuff and adventure on my own.
I’m independent, hard working, crazy, totally adventurous, outrageous and bitchy, but I kind of like me.
So if you don’t, who cares?
I am
