As I watch the news on the television
I see the results of everyone’s mission
Crime spreads throughout the country
Peace and truth remain a mystery.

Corruption is a worldwide problem
Innocent people we choose to condemn
Beyond, I see a ray of hopeful light
Shining throughout the dark of the night.

Swaying within the cruelty in life
I try to smile, even though in strife
Though it’s hard, I strive to stand
The light helps, it seems so bland.

Over the horizon is a rising sun
True to its mission, it brings out the fun
The hope that within forever lingers
Waiting still, to be reached by fingers.

No matter how hard life proves to be
Blind to the paths we choose to see
Still, I know, there’s hope for me
A shining, new light shines for free.

A new season has come along
Time to repent and do no wrong
Bells will ring for Christ is coming
We must be ready for a new beginning.

The angel of love would visit again
To renew the love and comfort all pain
Peace and joy would come next
They’ll bless us they don’t come on text.

Christmas spirit is in the town
It has come to take every frown
Be joyful, every moment is treasured
For love is free and not measured.

Christmas is a time of love and giving
It is a time of peace, joy and sharing
It has the warm feeling, not of a fireplace
But of a hug of one who loves and cares.

Christmas is especially blessed
Not for wars and not for rest
A time for expressing the love and care
In a family who’ve made love so rare.

Then God’s angels will sing
All church bells will ring
It will announce the birth
‘Tis time to give Christ his mirth

Midnight passed and I keep thinking
What life has brought me
Challenges I keep facing
Fighting for what I choose to be.

My life is like a roller coaster
Ups and downs, I am bound to face
Ready to stand I remain a fighter
Success I could reach, for all God’s grace.

I admit I turn away from time to time
I am human after all, bound to do wrong
Temptation is somewhat Satan’s crime
Maybe hell is where I really belong.

Life passes, helping me grow
It is life after all
Molding us and helping us know
How to rise again once we fall.

Living my life in the way I can.
To the fullest enjoying every breath
Making sure I do everything in my life’s span
Love and happiness I seek for wealth.

What my life has molded me into, forever
I am a strong person happily living
Choosing to live for the world to treasure.

It’s funny how I sit with so many people
Still feeling so lonely in every way
I sometimes ask myself why
Why is it that I feel
So alone but still amongst
So many different people.
And days would pass,
Still I felt lonely
Lonely, cold and very unhappy.
Then I realized
What have I been doing?
Life is short and should not be wasted
For happiness comes from within
Within the people who cared
Within the things I love doing.
And sometimes, happiness
Does not come from the things we get
The happiness we look for lies deep
Within our hearts and our souls
So be content and learn to look
For the happiness we look for everyday
Is just waiting to be discovered.
